Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Perform Laboratory Testing: Chemistry, Microbiology, Histology, Immunology a. Perform required tests in lab or as send out. b. Report results for both stat and routine tests within agreed timelines. c. Accept specimens for testing 365 days per year, including weekend and holidays. d. Review requisition for test(s) requested and appropriate specimen identification, contact COUNTY concerning issues with the test(s) requested and/or specimen identification, and jointly decide upon a plan of action. 2. Perform other forensic testing as available. 3. Other requirements: a. Provide customer service support including medical and technical consultant services. b. Provide for systems interoperability to allow for electronic test ordering and results reporting. c. Establish authorized communication, billing, and reporting conduits and processes. d. Provide for shipping of samples including weekend and holiday delivery. e. Provide for secure refrigerated/frozen specimen storage and return of unused specimens at the completion of testing at no additional charge. f. Provide lab chain of custody forms and collection supplies at no charge, to be used solely for the collection of specimens that are to be tested. The type and amount of such supplies are subject to agreement between the COUNTY and PROPOSER. g. Maintain required laboratory certification and provide documentation as needed for accreditation and inspection purposes.
