Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Joint Meeting of Essex & Union Counties (JMEUC) requests proposals from qualified elevator maintenance and modernization companies to provide a comprehensive replacement and modernization of a freight elevator located in the Dewatering Facility. The existing freight elevator is original to the construction of this facility and will need to be replaced entirely. The scope of work should include elevator system modernization, machine room, freight car door equipment, freight landing door equipment, car and hall fixtures, car and hoistway, pit, fire alarm services. The scope of work will include the following for the freight elevator located within the Dewatering Facility. • Machine Room: o Supply electrical engineered drawings and permits. o Supply and install disconnect. o Supply and install piping and feed into controller from new disconnect. o Supply and install positive earth ground to main controller. o Supply and install disconnect and feed for VAM (Per ASME 17.1 2019 Code). o Supply and install cab light circuit with lockable disconnect. o Supply and install piping and feed from the load side of the cab light disconnect controller. o Supply and install a machine room GFI outlet. o Supply and install piping for phone line into new controller. o Supply and install auxiliary contact for battery lowering signal wire to elevator controller. o Supply and install disconnect for freight door control systems. o Supply and install lamp guarded fixtures to meet code requirements. o Supply HVAC engineered drawing and permit. o Supply and install new disconnect, GFI outlet, and exterior working light for mini-split system. o Supply and install new mini-split system for heating and cooling to regulate temperature and humidity between 55-degree F and 90-degree F with relative humidity no more than 85% non-condensing in elevator machine room.
