Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Provide the legal representation for all the TCDSS proceedings in Juvenile Court as it pertains to all Child Welfare Programs. • Provide the legal representation at all Child Abuse and Neglect appeal hearings. • Provide the legal representation for matters as they relate to the Adult Protective Services program, including but not limited to, guardianship proceedings. • Preparing the TCDSS social work staff for court testimony. • Representation for other legal matters as they relate to the TCDSS' services at the request of the TCDSS Director or Assistant Director. • Must be available in a timely manner to provide counsel’s advice to the TCDSS Director and Assistant Director on legal matters of the Department. • Must be available to attend court in person in Talbot County, arriving prior to the start of the docket. Response time should be within one (1) hour for emergency hearings.
