• Review and recommend process revisions (current fiscal year and moving forward). • Record all Town transactions to QBO on a modified accrual basis of accounting. • Ongoing assistance with accounting principles concepts • Assist in implementing a policy and procedures manual. • Maintain the accounting records according to the modified cash basis of accounting • Record all receipts and deposits. • Record all credit card transactions. • Reconcile all bank accounts and investment accounts monthly. • Process payroll and record-related accounting entries. • Prepare monthly financial statements. • Assist with the preparation of the Annual Budget • Assist Town staff with employees with any payroll and benefit questions • Prepare Annual IRS Forms 1096 and 1099 as requested • Prepare all necessary documentation, schedules, and records to assist in the annual audit • Be available to prepare any special reports or provide information as the need arises • Participate in meetings as needed • Be proactive in evaluating potential software and solutions to assist the organization in operating a modern accounting system. • Routine touch base meetings with the Town Manager and other Town staff. • Maintain Town chart of accounts and budget in QBO and support with revisions • Support PSD clerk with cash receipt and invoicing processes in QBO.
