The New Mexico Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources, in collaboration with the New Mexico Interstate Stream Commission (NMISC), is conducting a study on changing surface water flow regimes between the San Acacia Diversion Dam and the upper reaches of Elephant Butte Reservoir. In order to evaluate the hydrologic response to these changes we are seeking a vendor to provide pressure transducers at appropriate ranges in 38 established monitoring wells, to provide real-time telemetry, or near real-time data, of groundwater level changes for each site listed in the attachments. Where data service for telemetry may not be sufficient, pressure transducers alone may be used and manually downloaded. Data will be used to evaluate surface water management changes in proximity of the wells, in the Rio Grande and along the Low Flow Conveyance Channel. All data provided must be highly accurate and with long term sustainable products, with long battery life and/or solar power. Data service must work through application programming interfaces (APIs) with common standard format for depth to water, water level elevation, water temperature, date, time and other relevant data. Vendors are encouraged to bid on installation support at these sites as well. Most wells are in remote locations with low or limited cellular data service. Cost estimates should include transducers, cables and devices (as needed for telemetry or monitoring), batteries/power source, annual data service plan, installation support, wellhead modifications (if needed), and other relevant features. Vendors should read provided materials on each well very carefully.
