Specifications include, but are not limited to: CTDOC is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to provide comprehensive Leadership Empowerment Training for incarcerated men at the TRUE Unit. This training will take place at CCI. This training will utilize a variety of teaching methods including presentations, group discussions, and role-play scenarios. The purpose of this RFP is to solicit proposals to secure a contract to: (1) Design a comprehensive Leadership Empowerment Training curriculum in collaboration with CTDOC for all incarcerated men within the TRUE Unit at CCI that includes, but not limited to, the following: i. Leadership development to foster self-confidence and mentorship. ii. Effective communication skills to facilitate open dialog among the TRUE Unit and beyond once the incarcerated individual(s) are released. iii. Goal setting parameters to foster a sense of purpose and achievement. iv. Action planning to promote future objectives and the ability to achieve them. v. Self-awareness techniques that foster personal growth. vi. Stress management coping strategies for personal empowerment. vii. Decision making strategies to enable making better choices. viii. Teamwork exercises to encourage a community based environment which, in turn, facilitates leadership skills. ix. Utilize various methods of teaching through presentations, group discussions, and role-play scenarios. (2) Conduct Leadership Empowerment Training at the TRUE Unit at CCI over the course of up to twelve (12) weeks; and (3) Allow for the copy and use of curriculum by CTDOC staff to provide additional instruction and training for CTDOC population.
