Please note: This is a Sole Source Notification. Lottery is requesting that the quote for Eaton Replacement Batteries at the Bridgeport Data Center be considered a sole source for the following reasons: 1. Installation of non Eaton batteries leaves us vulnerable to warranty breach issues since Eaton maintains they will only support batteries purchased from them that match the specifications for the existing equipment. If the batteries cause a failure to the UPS hardware it would not be covered under warranty. 2. If we did elect to go with another vendor, Eaton has a requirement to come on site and perform testing to ensure the system will work as designed. This will result in additional cost estimated at $2,000 as a minimum which would far exceed an savings with a non Eaton vendor.
