Contractor will perform the following: •evaluate the status of all AHC easements and/or covenants. •review all easement files to ensure they are up-to-date and organized. Check digital forms and files, updating or correcting documentation as needed. •research and maintain accurate property ownership files for each easement. Foster and develop positive working relationships with property owners to support overall compliance with the easement terms. •create or expand upon spreadsheets/databases so that information about each easement is easily accessible. •conduct site visits to easement properties to ensure compliance with conservation and preservation restrictions. •assess, inspect, and report on the condition of properties and their character-defining features using written and photographic documentation methods. •utilize baseline data, including architectural drawings and photographs, to assess changes in a property’s condition. •communicate both verbally and in written form with property owners to notify them of upcoming monitoring activities. •present results and data to AHC staff and collaborate to determine priorities and establish a monitoring schedule for future easement monitoring. •provide written and verbal technical assistance on the preservation, rehabilitation, and restoration of historic properties in keeping with the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties and the terms of their easement or covenant; and •assist AHC staff in the review and execution of new easements including completing baseline documentation.
