Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Flooring preparation 1) Contractor shall remove all thin set mortar and other setting materials. 2) Contractor shall repair existing underlayment. 3) Contractor shall clean and level and float the subfloor as needed. 4) Any flooring preparation that is deemed necessary shall be executed prior to installation. This includes grinding, leveling, filling, and crack repairs. B. Installation of commercial grade vinyl leather repairing VLP flooring shall be approved by CAL FIRE prior. 1) Contractor shall install VLP flooring in strict accordance with manufacturer’s written instructions. 2) Contractor shall remove all door thresholds so that the tile is laid underneath the threshold, and they shall reinstall the door threshold or replace it if necessary. 3) Trim any necessary door casings to flush fit casings to the VLP flooring. C. Contractor shall install six (6)” inch commercial grade vinyl baseboards. 1) Installation site is 2,140 square feet (sq ft) of new commercial grade VLP and 356 ft of 6” inch commercial grade vinyl baseboard, which shall be provided by the contractor. D. Final Clean Up shall include: 1) All construction related debris shall be removed from the job and properly disposed. 2) Contractor shall clean and wash floors to remove manufacturer’s glue, and release agents.
