Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Compile HVAC Upgrade Construction Documents to include the design to perform the following upgrades: a. Install new Variable Refrigerant Fan (VRF) Coil Units for all condition spaces. b. Install new ventilation air fans to feed fresh air to the new VRF fan coils. c. Provide backup split system unit to serve data/communication room. d. Install new exhaust fans in bathrooms and other areas. e. Reroute the outside air intake away from the diesel fuel pumping station. f. Remove the chiller, chilled water pump, heating hot water boiler, and heating hot water pumps and other appurtenances from the mechanical room. g. Remove/replace the existing indoor air handling units. h. Depending on the results of the asbestos abatement due diligence report (performed by others), the chilled water and hot water piping may be abandoned in place. Reflect mechanical scope in construction documents. i. Instead of the above scope, provide a 100% engineered design for a complete a HVAC system which will provide the best solution based on the site conditions. Outline the plan in the proposal response. 2. Review information provided. 3. Perform site surveys to review existing conditions and gather data. 4. Work with asbestos contractor and City of Alhambra to determine the best solution and criteria as it relates to the HVAC upgrade. 5. Generate necessary backgrounds.
