Specifications include, but are not limited to: The intent of this invitation to bid is to obtain field services to affect the repair, restoration and/or replacement of traffic control signs and their support and mounting hardware for the schools outlined in these provisions. The work shall consist of the furnishing and installation of the sign types and mounting hardware as specified in the Plan set and directed by a representative of the Department of Public Works. The vendor shall visit the sites specified in the Sign Assessments and install or replace the signs and/or the mounting supports as needed. New signage shall be installed on existing timber poles where applicable. Where no suitable pole is found, aluminum U-channel posts shall be installed at the designated locations. When it is discovered that a sign listed in the Sign Assessments has already been addressed by City forces, no work shall be performed, and that sign shall be eliminated from the contract.
