Specifications include, but are not limited to: Specifications for the security gates would consist, at a minimum, of heavy gauge material. Posts, fabric and fasteners shall be Grade A - Hot-dip zinc coated inside and out after fabrication with an average weight of not less than 1.8 ounces of zinc per square foot of coated surface area. Pipe shall conform to schedule 40 standard weight which meets or exceeds both requirements for grades A and B. Steel pipe other than schedule 40 standard weight shall meet the outside dimensions and minimum wall thickness required and shall have minimum yield strength of 50,000 psi. Gate Posts should be a minimum of 4.0 inches OD x 0.226 inches wall thickness and/or shall be sized accordingly to support the linear length of the swing arm. Lexington School District Four expects to have the security gates installed and project completion on or before August 7, 2024.
