Specifications include, but are not limited to: The scope of this project will consist of the restoration of a historic 40,000 SF 7-story brick structure formerly known as the Cherokee Hotel, as well as the build-out of the neighboring 6,000 SF 2-story all-masonry building. The buildings are to serve as the new Cleveland, TN City Hall and City Council Buildings, respectively. Both buildings will have an occupancy of Assembly type A-3 and Business as non-separated mixed-use. A portion of this project qualifies for historic tax credits. Work will include partial demolition work, roof replacement, elevator installation, all new electrical/plumbing/HVAC systems, replacement of windows, recreation of historic trim details, site work, interior finishes, and other work indicated in the contract documents. (Interior demolition of the City Hall building and shell restoration of the City Council building, as well as environmental remediation of both have been addressed in previously issued separate bid packages.)
