Specifications include, but are not limited to: - Providing confidential assistance to employees and their dependents in dealing with personal problems that might adversely impact their work performance, health and well being. The contractor shall immediately advise the Town or Board of Education Human Resource Director concerning any employee/dependent whose psychological condition indicates a clear and imminent danger to him/her or others. The contractor shall abide by all state and federal laws regarding confidentiality. - Counsel participants on an individual basis where expertise is available within the EAP. Participants may be self referred, referred from a Supervisors or referred from a Medical Review Officer with the Town's Drug and Alcohol testing agency; - Refer participants to appropriate private or community health providers when specialized therapy is necessary or if the number of allocated sessions are gone and the problems (s) remain unresolved. (coordinate through health benefits); - Provide frequent and visible information regarding the services available from the EAP. The intent is to increase employee awareness of the EAP in an effort to increase utilization. The contractor will provide such communications at least quarterly throughout the year. - Ensure availability of crises and emergency intervention on a 24-hour, 7 day a week basis with a toll-free telephone number
