Specifications include, but are not limited to: There is a broken 8-inch watermain that crosses beneath the surface water between Marlin Drive and Marina Harbor. The watermain has been isolated on both sides of the crossing and is currently not in service. The project will consist of installing approximately 350 feet of pipeline liner to fix the broken watermain and return it to service. Installation of the liner system referred to as Primus Line® will be performed via this contract by the lining contractor. The District is contracting separately with a general contractor for excavation of the pits, cutting the existing pipe and making the final connections to the water system after the liner is installed and tested. All work on the water main shall conform to the District’s adopted standards, which are the Diablo Water District Standards, and are hereby incorporated. Water service for the residents and businesses shall not be interrupted during construction. All disturbed surfaces on private property and public right-of-way shall be restored to the existing condition or better. The work to be completed under this contract consists of furnishing all materials, labor, equipment, fuel, and tools required to install the pipeline liner for the District as illustrated on the Drawings, and as detailed in these Specifications. The work required in this specification relating to the liner pipe project includes, but is not limited to the following: 1. Providing all submittals of materials as required in this specification. 2. Coordination of work with the General Contractor. 3. Installation and testing of Primus Line® Liner inside the host pipe (i.e. existing 8” water main). 4. Installation of Primus Line® Liner end connections. 5. Hydrostatic testing of the newly installed liner.
