The Salt Lake County Health Department (SLCoHD) is seeking information on whether an existing electronic marquee sign can be updated with current technology or if a new sign is required. The current sign is located at the South Main Public Health Clinic (3690 S Main St, South Salt Lake, UT 84115). It uses a digital scrolling “ticker tape” feature from the 1990s and is no longer able to be updated because its software won’t run on any current computer. Before the COVID-19 pandemic an old Windows 98 laptop was used to update the scrolling marquee, but this is no longer an option for the Health Department. SLCoHD would like to know if: 1) The existing sign can be updated with current technology, and if so, possible associated costs; or 2) Whether a new sign is required, and if so, possible associated costs; and 3) Whether work can be invoiced and started prior to July 30, 2024, for either option. Current sign dimensions: 175” W x 74” H x 12” D
