Specifications include, but are not limited to: The PROVIDER agrees to: Assist Center Dentist in providing the following: Assessment and diagnosis, to include: Dental readiness inspection within 14 days after entry by the Center; Dentist or designee (i.e. Dental Hygienist or Dental Assistant) to identify urgent care need for oral conditions that if not treated are expected to result in dental emergencies in the near future. Treatment to include: Dental procedures to treat oral disease and correct oral health conditions that may represent employability barriers. Specific procedures include: Dental hygiene treatment that involves nonsurgical periodontal care to treat periodontal disease; Oral disease prevention education and management to include: Oral strategies such as oral hygiene instruction, risk assessments and group education; Oral health promotion activities with an emphasis on overall wellness and employability. Provide 6 hours of dental hygienist services per week. Hours are to be coordinated with the Wellness Department. Ensure the dental staff adheres to the guidelines for health care workers regarding protective measures against infectious diseases issued by the Center for Disease Control (CDC). Provide assistance in the ordering, accountability, and safeguarding of health equipment, supplies, and medications kept at TLJC. Provide issuance and maintenance of standing orders as prescribed in the United States Department of Labor guidelines. Provide involvement through case management to promote the coordination and integration of the health component (medical, dental, counseling, mental health, environmental health and health education) with other TLJC activities, in cooperation with the TLJC Center Physician, Mental Health Professional, Health Services Administrator, and Center Director. Advise the Center’s staff on purchases of medications, supplies, x-ray equipment and laboratory services. Submit a monthly work schedule at least one (1) month in advance to the Health Services Administrator. Submit monthly invoices for services rendered to the Health Services Administrator no later than the 15th day of each month. Said invoices shall include a description of services provided, date(s), number of hours services were provided, and the amount.
