Specifications include, but are not limited to: robotic-based automated fiber placement (AFP) system to be put in SCRA (1000 Catawba St. STE 120 Columbia, SC 29201) Room 140B. Robotic manipulator is requested to be placed on 40ft linear rail. The system shall have the following minimum characteristics: • 8-16 x 0.25” tow AFP Head • Ability to change AFP Head with additional heads from supplier or ones developed in-house. • Quick disconnect of mounting points with ability to access and expand power track in-house is preferred. • Head cradle for AFP Head when not in use requirement. • Flat Tool – Minimum size 4ft x 4ft and Maximum 5ft x 8ft • Calibration Tool - minimum 3ft x 3ft maximum defined by provided flat tool size • Head and tail stock to support a minimum of 4ft diameter mandrel, maximum 6ft diameter with 360+ degree rotation and 3000kg capacity
