Specifications include, but are not limited to: The work to be constructed hereunder is located along Artesia Boulevard, from Western Avenue to Vermont Avenue, in the City of Gardena. The major work generally consists of, but is not limited to, Traffic Signal Modifications, Modification of Medians, Landscaping and Irrigation, Asphalt Pavement cold milling and paving. Other related work includes providing traffic control, NPDES compliance, clearing and grubbing, construction of PCC access ramps, curbs and gutters, sidewalks, driveways, adjust manholes to grade, signing and striping including pavement markings, markers, legends, permits and licenses from adjacent jurisdictions and utilities (Union Pacific) and other items not mentioned that are required by the plans and specifications. The City of Gardena intends to award this project to the winning contractor right after approval of the City council. Construction should commence in the soonest possible time as material procurement (General Provision GP-1), Construction Phasing (Section 601 and Schedule below) and permit requirements (Section 2.2) would allow.
