The County of Otero is seeking to contract with a veterinary services provider or providers for services to the Otero County Animal Shelter. Awarded contractors must have qualified personnel available to examine animals brought in by Otero County Animal Control and veterinary consultation during business hours, after-hours and emergency basis. The successful offerors will provide the requested services to include, but not limited to the following: The Veterinarian shall provide as needed sterilizations of dogs and cats; the County will contact the Veterinarian for a sterilization appointment and shall deliver the animal to the Veterinarian’s private practice office or animal will be delivered to the office by new owner and owner will provide the required paperwork authorizing services on the day and time of the animal’s schedule surgery. The animal’s owner will take possession of the animal from the Veterinarian’s private practice office following the procedure. The Veterinarian may provide any additional vaccinations as recommended to and/or requested by the animal’s new owner, at rates determined by the Veterinarian and billed to the new owner.
