The service provider shall furnish all labor, equipment, and supplies to perform all work required for this contract consisting of surveying for bat species, with emphasis on bat species of concern. In an effort to maintain compliance with the Endangered Species Act, while minimizing time delays or additional resource costs to the government that may be associated with compliance, the US Army Garrison (USAG)- Redstone required summer surveys for the federally protected Indiana bat (Myotis sodalist), northern long-eared bat (M. septentrionalis), gray bat (M. grisescens), and tricolored bat (Perimyotis subflavus). The USAG-Redstone anticipates using the survey results to consult on future impacts to federally protected bat species with the United States Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS).
