Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1.1 The roofing installer must be currently approved by the manufacturer, Everest Roofing Systems and approved to work in the State of Rhode Island. Accomplish work in strict accordance with the roofing manufacturer’s published specifications and best trade practices to achieve a completely watertight roofing and flashing installation. 1.2 The Bidder is responsible for all measurements. Before ordering materials, preparing shop drawings, or doing any work, verify at the site all dimensions which may affect the work. Assume full responsibility for accuracy of figures. No allowance for additional compensation will be considered for discrepancies between dimensions on the specifications and actual field dimensions. 1.3 . The Bidder will attend a pre-construction meeting with the appropriate Town of Coventry staff to determine worksite logistics and safety requirements. The Bidder will store all roofing materials in accordance with proper roofing practices. Dispose of all materials in accordance with all federal, state and local regulations. All work premises will be cleaned daily during the construction process and at the completion of the project. 1.4 The Bidder must supply a minimum 20-year full unlimited labor and materials warranty which protects the new roof system against defects in materials and workmanship. If the roof leaks at any time during the warranty period due to material defects or workmanship, the Bidder shall provide complete warranty service to remedy the defect at no cost to the Town. 1.5 The Bidder shall be a firm with not less than five (5) years of successful experience in the installation of roofing systems similar to the those required for this project. The Bidder shall obtain written certification from the manufacturer of the roofing system certifying that the Installer is approved by the manufacturer for work in Rhode Island for this specified roofing system.
