Specifications include, but are not limited to:The Department of Public Safety, Aircraft Section is soliciting for as-needed Cessna Caravan C-208 training. While the state does not guarantee a minimum or maximum number of students per year, the state estimates approximately 6-8 students a year will need one or both of the following trainings. Initial Qualification Training Course shall incorporate the following: • Conducted in a Level C Cessna Caravan C-208 simulator with the Garmin G600 or G1000 avionics suite. • A minimum of 21.5 hours ground school must be provided, • A minimum of ten hours of simulator (pilot flying) time • Successful completion of the training course must result in a pilot endorsement for the requirements of a Flight Review FAR 61.56 (c), PIC Night Landing Currency FAR 61.57 (b), and Instrument Proficiency Check FAR 61.57 (d). • Completion documentation must be provided such as an official Record or Training The Recurrent Training Course shall incorporate the following: • Conducted in a Level C Cessna Caravan C-208 simulator with the Garmin G600 or G1000 avionics suite • A minimum of 13 hours ground school • A minimum of six hours of simulator (pilot flying) time • Successful completion of the course must result in a pilot endorsement for the requirement of a Flight Review FAR 61.56©, PIC Night Landing Currency FAR 61.57(b), and Instrument Proficiency Check 61.57 (d). • Completion documentation must be provided such as an official Record of Training
