Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Scope of Work for the Children’s Psychiatric Center shall include the following key elements outlined herein. This includes new construction of 36 Children Psychiatric Inpatient beds designated in separate units grouped by age with necessary patient and staff support services for each unit as required by code recognized by authorities having jurisdiction. Each unit to be served by a large outdoor area for recreational activity access. New fire access roads will accompany the construction of the inpatient facility and will be worked concurrently with utility improvements to the site. New patient fencing will be required for patient protection, erosion control, and general security of the site. Demolition work will include demolition of buildings as indicated in Construction Drawings. Site demolition includes, but is not limited to demolition of the existing running track, volleyball court, basketball court, greenhouse, sawcut / removal of concrete paving sections. New construction will require new Mechanical / Electrical / Plumbing (MEP) infrastructure. It is expected that there will be a fully coordinated design amongst all required consultants. A new emergency generator back-up will be required that shall be sized to accept designed MEP systems loads. Temporary fencing will be installed to protect inpatient members from construction activities. Various other protections include tree and vegetation protections and existing buildings to remain. Project must meet all current code requirements including the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ), Department of Health (DOH), The Joint Commission (TJC) and Centers for Medicare / Medicaid Services (CMS).
