Specifications include, but are not limited to: Contractor shall provide two (2) man crews with a combination cleaning truck including all cones, safety lighting, and signs necessary to complete the task. The pipe cleaning and television inspection work will be accomplished with a combination jet vacuum truck and mobile television studio truck. All observations and pipe defects will be recorded in an electronic database with digital pictures and digital movie clips for each line segment. One videotape copy, one digital file on DVD and one paper copy will be provided at the conclusion of the inspection work. Two hard copies will also be provided. Combination vactor jet rodders shall be able to provide at least 2,500 psi @ 125 gpm, 5,000 cfm @ 16’ Hg. Each unit shall be equipped with vacuum tubes for removal of solids, rotating jet hose reel, up to 12 cubic yard debris box, hand guns for pressure washing manhole walls and inverts, hydraulic cutters for grease and root removal, and various size angle nozzles for sewer cleaning. Mobile television studio trucks shall be equipped with specifically designed cameral equipment and computerized software to capture and record observations into an easily accessible electronic database. Must possess a minimum of 2 pumper trucks for emergency by pass with a 2000-gallon tank capacity minimum. Must have a tracked jetting unit for off road easements. Contractor to provide all necessary supervision, personnel and equipment to perform the services; and transportation of men and materials to and from job site. Particular attention should be paid to the fact that the Contractor is responsible for properly disposing of all material removed from pipes at a properly licensed facility, including proper testing and providing proper documentation of completion of this effort to the DPW Director. Proper dewatering shall be performed to minimize the weight of the material disposed. Costs provided above shall be complete costs to complete the project including, but not limited to, and surcharges such as for fuel, etc.
