Provide comprehensive onsite dental services to the incarcerated population in all six (6) RIDOC facilities. Services include but are not limited to, sick visits, annual visits, urgent care services, extractions, x-rays, fillings, and prosthetic treatments. Specific Requirements: • The selected vendor will be responsible for providing onsite comprehensive dental services to the incarcerated population in all six (6) RIDOC facilities, including necessary equipment, and its maintenance. • Services must comply with all state, federal, local laws, ACA and NCCHC standards, in addition to RIDOC policies and procedures. • All dentists, oral surgeons, dental hygienists, and other consultants employed by the vendor must be licensed in the State of Rhode Island. o The Oral Surgeon may not self-refer patients to his/her own private practice. • The vendor must provide proof of malpractice insurance. • The vendor must comply with all HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality, including the terms listed in the RIDOC’s Business Associate Agreement (see Attachment 1). • The vendor must utilize the RIDOC’s electronic medical record (EMR) to document all dental encounters. • Attend monthly meetings for the first six (6) months of the contract, and quarterly thereafter to discuss the dental program. • Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement and continuing education initiatives. • The RIDOC currently employees three (3) Dental Assistant FTEs. The selected vendor must agree to not perform work or duties assigned to them.
