Specifications include, but are not limited to: a. Provide a benefits counselor on a year-round basis as needed per SCSD6 Benefits Administrator b. Coordinate the development, promotion and administration of the Benefits and Retirement programs c. Conduct all Benefits Orientations for new hires and current staff to explain all options under the Benefits Program, Retirement Plans, and certain District-sponsored benefits. Implement any and all ASI Flex changes through the Peba enrollment system to include a confirmation document for the employee’s record d. Contractor will allow Benefits Administrator to meet the enrollment counselors before the enrollment period begins. Benefit Administrator will be able to remove any counselor that he/she feels does not meet the standards of SCSD6 at any time e. Enroll, through an automated enrollment service, all employees electing to participate in the District’s Benefits and Retirement Programs at their work site f. Follow-up with employees to ensure that decisions are made in a timely manner regarding enrollment or changes in the District’s Benefits and Retirement programs g. Follow-up with employees to ensure all documents necessary to complete enrollment have been delivered to SCSD6 (i.e. Birth certificate, marriage certificate, etc.) h. Provide a customer service call center for telephone enrollments and questions i. Provide annual statements describing the benefits provided to each employee under the Benefits Program j. Provide a cost/benefit analysis for employees regarding insurance benefits that are offered as a part of the Benefits Program and the applicable premiums k. Conduct employee surveys regarding satisfaction with benefits and retirement programs and employee needs for new products as requested by the District l. Communicate the Districts policies and procedures related to new and existing employee benefits and retirement programs m. Coordinate with the district the best voluntary products from the best companies n. Act as broker of record for SCSD6 in connection with approved voluntary insurance products o. Provide customer service for claims, questions, enrollment and administration of voluntary benefits p. Provide file upload for payroll deductions related to district voluntary policies q. Provide an in-person Benefit Counselor throughout the year to assist in benefit enrollments and improve the employee’s understanding of the district and state core benefits, changes, and options
