Specifications include, but are not limited to: Proposals shall include, but not be limited to, the following considerations and concessions: 1. The Contractor to provide all the necessary labor, materials, containers, and equipment for the collection, removal, and proper disposal of all the trash of CCPRC. 2. The Contractor to show proof of a valid permit for disposal with Charleston County and all other applicable state, county, and municipal licenses. RFP No. 2024-022 Solid Waste Disposal Service 4 3. All containers supplied by the Contractor to be placed in the designated “removal area” for each location. When the “removal area” has a dumpster enclosure, the Contractor will be required to properly open and resecure the enclosure during the collections. Any additional refuse, in plastic bags, placed next to the containers is to be taken at the time of collection. Debris in the “removal area”, caused by the transfer, is to be picked-up and broom cleaned by the Contractor prior to leaving the “removal area”. CCPRC reserves the right to relocate the “removal area” at no additional cost, with two weeks written notice by the Project Coordinator. 4. All containers shall be in a clean condition, repaired and repainted, equipped with operable lids, doors and hardware prior to the beginning of the yearly schedule. All containers to be constructed of high-quality steel, welded at stress points, with lockable lids in working order. The Contractor must submit specifications for each type of container for approval. The containers are to be repaired, repainted, cleaned, and sanitized at regularly scheduled intervals or more often as necessary. 5. The Contractor is to be liable for damage to all property and equipment. All traffic signs, regulations, and speed limits are to be strictly observed. Drivers are to show extreme caution when park patrons and employees are in the area. 6. Prior to commencement of the project, the Contractor, at his expense, will procure insurance naming the Charleston County Park and Recreation Commission as an additional insured on the liability coverage and furnish certificate as to such, certifying the coverage as follows: A. All such coverage required by statue or regulation of Charleston County and the State of South Carolina. B. General liability insurance in the amounts indicated in Attachment 1f, Insurance Requirement. C. The required insurance policy at the time of issue must be written by a company licensed to do business in the State of South Carolina and acceptable to the Charleston County Park and Recreation Commission.
