A critical step towards reaching this goal is the development of a job classification and compensation system that addresses concerns with internal equity while providing the groundwork for maintaining a level of competitiveness within the relevant labor markets. Develop a job classification system and compensation plan that reflects the current organizational structure, recognizes changed work practices and technologies, enhances the college’s ability to attract and retain quality staff, is acceptable to the president, the Board of Education, and the classified union, and can be implemented within the culture of the college.
