Specifications include, but are not limited to: demolition of two existing unreinforced masonry buildings that have a physical connection via a doorway with a footprint of approximately 13,426 sq. ft. The school building to be demolished includes 3 stories, a basement, main floor and second floor, and the senior center is a single-story slab on grade construction. The project includes asbestos mitigation of identified asbestos materials, salvaging of historically significant architectural elements, hauling and disposal of materials, providing, hauling and placement of backfill material for the demolition area, and landscape replacement. There are two buildings adjacent to the project that will remain occupied and in operation throughout the project.
