Specifications include, but are not limited to: Supporting the Medicaid Clinical Data Exchange (MCDE) solution selection and implementation, the South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, or its successor in interest, (SCDHHS) intends to: a. Acquire a technology solution to capture admission, discharge, and transfer (ADT) events from acute care facilities (e.g., hospitals, emergency department, inpatient, psychiatric residential treatment facilities, etc.) and publish to managed care organizations (MCOs) and SCDHHS. b. Acquire a technology solution to capture bed status from providers and publish it to SCDHHS and SCDHEC (South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control or its successor in interest). Amongst other use cases, data will be used for Bed Capacity Tracking (BCT) in acute care facilities (e.g., hospitals, emergency departments, inpatient, psychiatric residential treatment facilities, etc.). c. Acquire a technology solution to capture encounter data (ambulatory and emergency/inpatient) from providers and publish it to MCOs, dental plans, and SCDHHS. Amongst other use cases, the data will be used to track emergency department (ED) encounters for non-traumatic dental conditions. d. Acquire the services of an implementation vendor to deploy the technology solution supporting the MCDE requirements.
