Specifications include, but are not limited to: 5.1. Analyze Grant Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and align with the College’s program needs. Program needs typically include, for example: • Increasing student interest and involvement in postsecondary education • Increasing academic performance, retention/persistence, and degree completion of students in postsecondary education • Increasing success for underrepresented students, such as students of color, low-income students, LGBTQ and gender diverse students in academic program • Promoting career awareness and workforce readiness of student graduates • Faculty and staff professional development programs • Effective collaboration with identified partners 5.2. Convene proposal development team, collaborate on a plan to develop project and budget, write and/or edit the proposal, and meet the deadline. This includes identifying milestones and adjusting course when needed. 5.3. Conduct background research for Need Statements - includes literature review and primary sources such as census, Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLM), Oregon Employment Department, Oregon Department of Education, and the College’s demographic data. 5.4. Grant pre-award design projects including: educational interventions, research design, evaluation plans, and work with contracted external evaluator to meet the needs of the College. 5.5. All remote/hybrid meetings for this project will use either the Zoom or Google Meets platforms. 5.6. The College may obtain information about Contractor’s history and may conduct criminal background checks, including fingerprinting, of Contractor personnel.
