Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. General Switchgear Requirements Switchgear shall be Model/PN: S&C PMH-9 55152R4-A10-K14 (or equivalent) and shall conform to the ratings and specifications below. Switches shall be designed for full load dropping and associated transformer magnetizing and cable charging currents plus duty-cycling in fault closing operations. The completed switchgear shall have received a UL listing. 2. Switchgear shall meet the following ratings: • Nominal L-L Voltage, kV: 13.8 • Maximum L-L Voltage, kV: 17.0 • BIL Voltage, kV: 95.0 • Peak Withstand Current, Amperes; 36,400 • One-Second Short-Time Withstand Current, Amperes, RMS, Symmetrical: 14,000 • MVA, Three-Phase Symmetrical, at Rated Nominal Voltage: 350 • Main Bus Continuous Current, Amperes: 600 • Main Bus Peak Withstand Current, Amperes, Peak: 36,400 • Main Bus One-Second Withstand Current, Amperes, RMS, Symmetrical 14,000 • Switch Continuous Current, Amperes 600 • Switch Load Dropping Current, Amperes 600 • Switch Peak Withstand Current, Amperes, Peak 36,400 • Switch 1-Second Withstand Current, Amperes, RMS, Symmetrical 14,000 • Switch 3-Time Duty-Cycle Fault-Closing Current, Amperes, RMS, Symmetrical 14,000 • Fuses W/Interrupters Maximum Current, Amperes 200K or 200E • Fuses W/Interrupters Load Dropping Current, Amperes 200 • Fuses W/Interrupters Duty-Cycle Fault-Closing Current, Amps, RMS, Sym 14,000 The short-circuit and three-time duty-cycle fault-closing ratings of switches, short-circuit rating of bus, interrupting ratings of fuses, and duty-cycle fault-closing capabilities of fuses with integral load interrupters shall equal or exceed the short-circuit ratings of the pad-mounted gear. 3. Switchgear shall meet the following additional specifications and options: • Switchgear shall be “live-front” by including direct bolt terminal pad components • Access to bays/termination compartments shall be padlockable penta style latch mechanism, door may be opened only by penta-head tool • Switch terminals shall be equipped with 600A rated direct bolt terminal pads • Fuse terminals shall be equipped with 200A rated direct bolt terminal pads • Mechanical interlock preventing fuse handling prior to opening of load break connector shall be provided to ensure that fuse is accessible only when isolated and de-energized • Ground connection pads shall be provided each bay/compartment of the pad-mounted gear • Individual ground rings shall be provided for each fuse mounting location to allow grounding of concentric neutral • Interrupter switches shall be external handle group operated, air insulated, 3-pole singleblade per phase • Switchgear shall have door position-retention rods • Switchgear shall be provided with lifting hooks/lugs. • Fuse storage for three spare fuses shall be provided for fuse compartments 3 and 4 • Fuse compartments shall include Grappler (or equivalent) fuse handling fittings • A 24-inch base space made of stainless steel shall be provided 4. Special Requirements: • Quote shall be good for 30 days after quote opening date • Each ordered switchgear shall include instruction manual and instruction manual holder within at least one compartment • 5. Bidder shall include the following items with his bid documents. • Dimensional data on a drawing showing; connection diagram, overall outside dimensions, approximate cable entry locations, compartment/bay dimensions, and weight estimate • A listing of any of the specifications with which bidder does not comply
