Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Upon request Contractor to provide initial post construction cleaning services: ● Services performed directly after new construction or remodeling which requires removal of construction soils and cleaning of spaces and/or furnishings. ● Initial care and initial maintenance relate to carpet and hard surface flooring and occur directly after installation of new flooring material. ● Initial services include incorporating manufactured recommended initial maintenance methods for all flooring materials and building surfaces. ● Contractor to coordinate receipt of these recommendations with Custodial Supervisor overseeing the carpet/flooring cleaning to make sure the correct process is taken. B. Cleaning: ● Employ experienced workers or professional cleaners for cleaning after construction or remodel. ● Contractor to take a phased approach to Construction Cleaning: i. Post construction cleaning scope of work involves removing all the waste, dust, and debris from a site. ii. Clean surfaces top to bottom to the condition expected in building cleaning and maintenance programs. C. Complete the following cleaning operations (not all listed will be required at each job site so coordination with Contractor and Contract Administrator or Project Manager prior to work beginning): 1. Remove labels that are not required to be permanent. Remove stickers from doors, windows, cabinet handles, and equipment. 2. Clean exposed hard-surfaced finishes to a dust-free condition, free of stains, films, and similar foreign substances, per manufacturer’s requirements. 3. Remove temporary protection. 4. Remove all debris, packaging etc. from all areas of the individual unit. 5. Clean all passage and entry doors, both sides including hardware and including the removal of labels, protective covers, all paint, drywall filler, mastic, grout etc. Including door jams. 6. Thoroughly clean all light fixtures.
