Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Towing service must bepromptly available upon a call byNCCU Transportation Services orNCCU Public Safety. • All towing services must be available on twenty-four (24) hours, seven (7) days a week basis. • A vendor must be able to respond to a call within 20 minutes between the hours of 7:00am and 11:00pm and within 30 minutes between the hours of 11:00pm and 7:00am. If the vendor(s) is unable to meet the response time requirement when a request for a tow is made, the vendor(s) must inform the Transportation staff at the time of initial notification. In addition, the vendor(s) shall visibly post at their place of business, and after-hours phone number for contact after hours on weekdays, weekends, and holidays, to allow customers to claim vehicles during these times. • Failure to respond to an NCCU call means failure to respond within the time limits set forth above. If Vendor fails ten times to respond within the above stated time limits and without justification acceptable to NCCU, will constitute grounds for termination of the Contract. • NCCU reserves the right to inspect the Vendor's vehicles, equipment, and facilities at any time. Any vehicles and equipment that are determined to be less than acceptable to NCCU will not be used for work under this Contract. All equipment must be in compliance with all Federal, State, and Local requirements for operation. • The vendor shall maintain records of service calls from NCCU, the activity of the company in response to said calls, and the disposition of any vehicle towed pursuant to said call. All records must be maintained for a period of four (4) years and shall be opened for the inspection of agents of NCCU upon reasonable time and notice. NCCU must be able to have access and the permission to examine any of the Vendor's pertinent accounting documents, papers, or other records involving transactions related to this Contact during the term of the Contract and during any record retention period, if required. • Upon notification from NCCU Public Safety or Transportation Services, the Vendor will remove any vehicle that is abandoned. • In accordance withapplicable lawandregulation,the vendor(s)willremit anymoniesreceived fromtheresale of the vehicle to NCCU, less the Vendor's documented expenses. The Vendor will provide written accounting records of any such transaction and related expenses. • The vendor(s) will be responsible for obtaining and maintaining all required towing licenses and tow truck permits and to comply with all local, state, and federal ordinances, laws, and regulations for the operation of towing service. Failure to do so will constitute grounds for immediate suspension or termination of the Contract by NCCU. • Initial towing shall be to the vendor(s) impoundment lot. • The vendor(s) shall record the damage to each vehicle towed or relocated on the tow receipt and verify the response time. • The NCCU employee responsible for having the vehicle towed will sign the towing receipt and verify the response time.
