Specifications include, but are not limited to: construct a new research lab space that will house collaboration and innovation spaces designed to facilitate brainstorming, idea generation, and project development, fostering a vibrant ecosystem of entrepreneurship and technological advancement. This space will be constructed inside of the Brown-Kopel Engineering Student Achievement Center utilizing an existing shelled 16,300 sf on the first floor also referred to as the “plinth” below the courtyard adjacent to Gavin Engineering Research Lab. The proposed project will incorporate an analytical & testing laboratory, an electronics manufacturing lab, and other innovation and collaboration spaces. Services from the Architect-of-Record(s) include: • Review of existing site and current conditions. • Creating an all-inclusive design team that will execute the design, bidding, and construction administration for the entire project. • Preliminary program verification. Early program data is to be provided at project inception. • Basic Services design (A through E) as defined in the AL Dept of Finance, Real Property Management – Division of Construction Management’s Manual of Procedures. • Compliance with Auburn University Design & Construction Standards.
