This solicitation is an attempt to establish one (1) or more sources of environmentally preferred products which, through meeting specific standards, present a lesser impact to public health and the environment than competing products and which perform at or beyond the standards expected by the District. Related services to be provided by the selected bidder (s) shall include the complete range of services available including, but not limited to analysis, training, installation, packaging, delivery, etc. The District is interested in achieving the following: • Establishing a core list of environmentally friendly products that will maintain or enhance the cleanliness kitchen equipment/ facilities; • An increase in use of environmentally friendly products that are a comparable substitution to other market products used; • A reduction in product waste with measured dispensing; • A decrease in annual operating/maintenance costs reflected in budgets; • A reduction in allergens and chemical reactions of sensitive students and adults; • Improved worker safety
