Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. The contractor shall repair and /or replace the following types of roofing systems: Built-Up (smooth, gravel, modified bitumen, etc.) and Single-Ply (Hypalon, E.P.D.M., PVC, TPO, Asphalt Shingles, etc.), perform all miscellaneous demolition required for the renovation and construction of new work. Further, the Contractor shall remove all demolished items from the site and dispose of them in full in accordance with State laws and regulations regarding disposal waste. B. Selective Demolition: The Contractor shalla) Remove entire roofing system down to the structural deck. As per detailed project specification, all debris shall be removed from the job-site daily and taken to a legal landfill. b) Prepare site for new construction, demolish and remove existing structures, disconnect abandoned equipment, fixtures and other miscellaneous materials and supports to be removed and not to be salvaged or saved. c) Protect adjacent materials indicated to remain. d) Install and maintain dust and noise barriers to keep dirt and dust from being transmitted to adjacent areas. e) Remove protection and barriers after selective demolition operations are complete. f) Provide proper level of fire protection in accordance with local Fire Department requirements. g) When services must be interrupted, install temporary services for affected areas. Coordinate the shut-off and disconnection of utility services with the Owner and the utility company. C. The Contractor shall ensure that heat and air-conditioning are maintained in all spaces having it and remain in operation during renovation and construction. The Contractor shall coordinate all shutdowns with the facility.
