West Virginia University on behalf of its Board of Governors (“BOG”) located in Morgantown, West Virginia (“WVU” or “University”) is initiating this Request for Proposals (“RFP”) to solicit proposals from qualified firms or individuals (“Proposers”) to consider third-party services to improve our warehouse operations and inventory management system. The intention of this RFP is to be two (2) part: Part One (1) is the initial response to this RFP, and Part Two (2) may include presentations, additional questions, follow-up visits, further scope definition, etc. with the down-selected service providers, to determine the best cost/benefit approach by the University based on the initial responses. There are currently three (3) warehouses on campus that serve our Facilities Management team by stocking and ordering maintenance and repair (MRO) items such as: HVAC filters, electrical supplies, plumbing supplies, carpentry, and other various MRO items. There is one (1) warehouse that is operating autonomously with vending machines. Other services that are excluded from this RFP include: stocking and delivery point for janitorial supplies, and a collection point for surplus items that can be redistributed for re-use on campus, sold, donated, or recycled.
