Please note: This is a Sole Source Notification. Specifications include, but are not limited to: . The 500 S Lift Station is critical infrastructure to the City’s stormwater system. There are a total of two pumps that service the 500 South Lift Station. One of these pumps was recently rehabilitated and the second is required to be rehabilitated or replaced. Without both pumps operational, Salt Lake City is at risk of local and regional flooding. The proposed service to be procured is the rehabilitation of (1) damaged Flygt stormwater submersible pump. Rehabilitation of the damaged pump is recommended over replacement because rehabilitation is about 55% less than replacement with a Flygt pump or similar. Rehabilitation will restore the pump to a full service life. It is recommended to have Flygt through their parent company Xylem perform the necessary pump rehabilitation.
