Specifications include, but are not limited to: The UGS needs to set up 5 new weather stations in the next 3 years and continue maintenance of our entire weather station network over the next 5 years. Each station we set up will match the build and parts of the existing stations. The UGS will build the stations, but we need high quality parts to ensure proper measurements are recorded. These stations will be built on a combination of public and private land, and in agricultural and wetland environments. We will buy equipment as we need it for each station, requiring relatively little latency between orders and delivery. We will need to order parts from the vendor, have them host and display the station data, access them for technical assistance, and get equipment calibration and repairs from them (Table 1). Each station also requires a specific cellular data plan that the vendor should provision that data during the contract period (Table 2). The plans should work with the existing station locations and modems, be payable on the vendor’s website, allow static ips, and be configurable to different quantities of data (i.e. 3GB vs 5 GB). The vendor should be able to host station data on a website showing the stations and their pertinent parameters. The stations are deployed in harsh environments (high UV, freezing, high temperatures, moisture), and we will likely need to repair, replace, and calibrate parts over time. The specific replacement/repair parts for each station will be determined when they are flagged as inoperable. Below are the details for each station: Great Salt Lake Wetlands Station Projected build May-June of 2024 Current Parts: We have enough components to start the construction of this station. We need to order additional parts to ensure the station measures all of the relevant variables (SI111 Infra-red radiometer; CS320 Pyranometer; SoilVUE soil monitor; SN500 Net Radiometer; Volt116; CR6; TE525; and a vented SDI12 compliant pressure transducer). This station will reside on site for 5 years and be visited for maintenance every 2 months and as needed.
