Specifications include, but are not limited to: EVANS CORRECTIONAL INSTITUTION SCDC is required to take wastewater samples following the mechanical bar screen monthly and quarterly and report the results to the City of Bennettsville under Permit No. 1004 of their pretreatment program. Samples and/or tests are of three types: (1) on-site tests, (2) grab samples, and (3) composite samples. The laboratory will be responsible for supplying chain-of-custody forms, sample bottles, 24-hour composite sampler (time-proportional samples), sampler set up-take down, and sample coolers for transport of the samples. LIEBER CORRECTIONAL INSTITUTION SCDC is required to take two water samples per month for bacteriological analysis and report the results to the SCDHEC under the Drinking Water Program. There are six sampling sites which were selected so that samples would be representative of the water distribution system. Sample sites will be provided to the laboratory. Beginning in January 2004 for all ground water systems that use disinfection, the SCDHEC requires a disinfection residual measurement at the same sampling point and at the same time as Total Coliform samples are collected. Therefore, a Free Residual Chlorine (FRC) test must be made for each sample collected. The laboratory will be responsible for supplying all test equipment and apparatus, chain-of-custody forms, sample bottles, and sample coolers for transport of the samples. Free Residual chlorine test results shall be entered on the chain-of-custody form adjacent to the sample it represents. Test reports shall include Total Coliform (E.coli) and Free Residual Chlorine test results for each sample.
