Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Harbor Department Construction and Maintenance Division requires the services of a professional naval architect to act as a consultant in the procurement of a workboat and a derrick barge equipped with a pedestal mounted crane. The project will be executed in two phases: Request for Proposal (RFP) development for procurement of the above mentioned equipment and owner representative services during the construction of the barge and crane. Phase 1: RFP Support - Derrick barge with pedestal mounted crane. Consultant will review the existing Harbor Department barge/crane design and technical specifications to ensure compliance with all current regulations and standards including (but not limited to) United States Coast Guard (USCG), American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), California Air Resource Board (CARB), and South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD). Any necessary changes to the design or specifications will be made by the consultant.
