Specifications include, but are not limited to: WS/FCS seeks qualified individuals or organizations to provide instructional coaching services to improve teaching practices aligned to the district’s Framework for Learning and Teaching and quest for Deeper Learning and ultimately improving student outcomes. Qualified organizations will have experience with a focus on developing student agency, rigor in assignments, and high quality instructional practices. The goals for .the supplemental support to instructional staff (1) enhance their lesson planning and delivery strategies/skills, (2) increase the use of effective teaching practices, and (3) foster a culture of continuous improvement. Services may be provided ● to teachers, instructional staff, and/or instructional leadership team members, ● within any WS/FCS K-12 school, ● in any subject but a specific focus on Reading/English Language Arts, Math, and Science; Services may include: ● Providing one-on-one and group coaching to teachers, instructional staff, and/or instructional leadership teams focusing on instructional strategies and student engagement. ● Collaborating with teachers and instructional leadership teams to develop lesson plans and to differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs. ● Conducting classroom observations and learning walks with a focus on rigorous instruction, and providing constructive feedback. ● Facilitating professional development workshops and training sessions. ● Assisting teachers and instructional leadership teams in analyzing student data to inform instructional decisions. ● Supporting the implementation of districtwide initiatives and instructional framework in support of the district strategic plan. ● Fostering a collaborative and supportive environment for professional learning communities. ● Maintaining detailed records of coaching activities and progress.
