Specifications include, but are not limited to: Middle Tennessee State University (hereafter referred to as “MTSU”) is looking for a qualified Mechanical Services Contractor (hereafter referred to as “MSC”) to provide HVAC and plumbing preventative maintenance, general maintenance, and repair services to facilities serving the campus here at MTSU. Services Included All Services outlined in this agreement will be performed as necessary to maintain the facility in a normal operating condition. The MSC shall provide all labor and material, unless otherwise specified by MTSU to perform requested services. At times requested services may require estimated costs and schedules to be adhered to because of academic/athletic/residential time constraints to accomplish services. MTSU will request estimates for this service and shall reserve the right to request additional bids to ensure fair pricing of the service. MTSU reserves the right to utilize other bids. Work will occur in facilities across campus involving academic buildings, athletics facilities, and residential facilities. The MSC shall provide two (2) full-time pipefitter/welder technicians and one (1) full-time HVAC service technician and one (1) full-time HVAC assistant daily during normal business hours. The MSC shall have on staff a full-time electrician that can support this contract on a as needed basis. This work can include the service, maintenance, start-up, adjusting, repair, modification, and replacement of mechanical equipment for heating and cooling systems across this campus. Any equipment replaced shall meet the original specifications of existing equipment. Pipe fitting and welding of heating and cooling distribution lines and related piping components across the campus will also be included in this contract. Occasional work in utility holes and with ancillary equipment supporting power boilers will be a part of this contract. The MSC shall keep the job site free of debris, litter, refuse, etc., and shall clean during the progress of work. The MSC shall remove all replaced parts and equipment from the area upon completion of the work.
