Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1.1 Achieve the following objecƟves: improve vehicle and equipment fleet availability, reduce vehicle and equipment maintenance costs; demonstrate management plan that involves enhanced policies and procedures to ensure internal controls for fiscal monitoring and best value cost methods for HU will be maintained. 1.2 AŌer award, Vendor will negoƟate with HU to acquire and manage the current inventory and make payment for the purchase of any inventory owned by HU, within 30 days of noƟce of award. Vendor shall also honor any manufacturer, distributor, or dealer warranƟes. 1.3 Be wholly responsible for the on-site inventory and work with HU in providing for a safe, neat and secured stock area. Items shall be frequently inventoried to ensure proper levels are maintained and confined to their appropriate stock areas to help minimize parts order fulfillment Ɵmes. 1.4 Be capable of charging and or crediƟng part cores without mark-ups or shipping charges applied. The Vendor shall accept industry standard cores for rebuilding where the parts are acceptable as core exchanges including, but not limited to water pumps, alternators, and engine blocks. 1.5 Provide current manufacturer’s price sheets or other requested documents as needed. 1.6 Parts and Inventory 1.6.1 Vendor shall procure and furnish all parts, materials, supplies, and fluids required for the operaƟon, maintenance and servicing of vehicles and equipment. 1.6.2 Parts/Items shall be categorized as one of the following: 1.6.2.1 AŌermarket Parts and/or Supplies: The offered part(s) shall be of similar kind and quality not made by the original manufacturer. 1.6.2.2 OEM Parts and/or Supplies: The offered part(s) shall be made by the manufacturer of the original part. 1.6.2.3 Recycled/recondiƟoned parts that may be original to the equipment’s make and model, these parts have been previously used. 1.6.2.4 Warranty/Recall: All aŌermarket and OEM parts and/or supplies provided by the Vendor shall be warranted against defects in material and/or workmanship. 1.6.2.4.1 The warranty and/or recall shall provide the full cost of the part(s) required to replace the defecƟve part(s) and any labor, packing, shipping, etc. required to replace the defecƟve part. 1.6.2.4.2 All labor refunds for parts shall be credited back to business pracƟces based on measurable criteria set forth by HU for all levels of services and procedures within the scope of work. 1.6.2.4.3 All labor refunds shall include: an itemized statement of each part, the work order number, and its associated costs. 1.6.2.5 Any and all parts, subsƟtuted or reworked, shall be approved by the Fleet Supervisor prior to acceptance. 1.6.2.6 All Items/Parts stocked and inventoried at HU faciliƟes shall remain the property of the Vendor unƟl such part or item is requested and supplied via an official integrated parts order by HU personnel and provided to HU personnel. 1.6.2.7 Any parts or items sourced and/or brought into inventory on-site by Vendor that result in an incorrect part/item or an unacceptable subsƟtute Part/Item, shall be the financial responsibility of the Vendor unless HU personnel specifically requested that exact part number brought into inventory. 1.6.2.8 Vendor shall agree that it shall sell Parts to HU, when requisiƟoned, based upon the lowest possible cost to Vendor for obtaining parts plus the lowest possible percentage as markup for gross profit including any sales, discounts or rebates received. 1.6.2.9 Vendor shall honor and pass on to HU any Manufacturer, distributor, or dealer/parts warranƟes including core credits, discounts, and rebates. 1.6.2.10 All hydraulic equipment, components and parts shall meet JIC and SAE specificaƟons. 1.6.2.11 All issued parts shall be new and of top quality and meet or exceed OEM specificaƟons. HU will not accept “white box” (goods that lack a brand name) or gray market parts (parts that are unofficial, unauthorized, or intended by the original manufacturer). 1.6.2.12 Provide bulk fluids, including but not limited to, petroleum fluids, washer fluids, diesel exhaust fluid, grease and lube oils as required by HU. 1.6.2.13 Provide bulk gaseous products, including but not limited to, Freon, oxygen, acetylene, and argon as required by HU. HU reserves the right to demand the Vendor to maintain bulk gaseous products at a minimum predetermined capacity. 1.6.2.14 Prior to occupying a HU facility, the Vendor shall work with HU to determine a beginning core inventory to be stocked and maintained. The beginning core inventory, including minimum and maximum unit levels, will be defined and mutually agreed upon.
