Specifications include, but are not limited to: Vouchers will be given to newly adopted pet owners if animal services have not had the chance to spay/neuter and/or vaccinate their newly adopted animal. These vouchers will be good at participating pet clinics/hospitals. With these services to be paid for by Animal Services. Each voucher will include the following information: • Unique Voucher number • Pet Name • Microchip # • Multco Pet’s AID# • Issue Date with note that it expires after 6 months; Process Steps: 1. When pets are adopted and still need to be spay/neuter and/or vaccinated, the shelter staff will give a voucher with the names and contact information of the participating clinics to the new owners and go over the process with them. 2. Adopted animal owners will then contact one of the participating clinics and schedule the procedure(s). 3. Clinics will collect voucher at time of visit and perform procedure(s). 4. Clinics will then invoice Animal Services and include a copy of the voucher. 5. MCAS management will then review the invoices for correct charges. 6. Approved invoices will then be paid net 30 days.
