Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Working with the management team to develop architectural programs for new facilities • Community and regional planning activities • Preliminary design of new facilities • Working with principal investigator(s), program managers, technical staff, and other NMIMT staff on the development and programming of new and existing facilities • Acting as the technical lead with A&E firms for the design development and construction documents for new facilities • Taking the lead in planning and designing the repurposing of existing facilities • Taking the lead in planning the renovation and upgrading of existing facilities • Advising on construction processes and management as required • Overseeing and monitoring construction • Analyzing and reviewing technical documents pertaining to architectural design and construction • Attending in person and virtual meetings related to architectural design onsite and as otherwise required • Liaising with A&E firms, Contractors, sub-contractors and suppliers as required • Organizing and maintaining the drawing library • Organizing, advising on procurement of, and maintaining equipment associated with the drawing library • Providing general planning and building design support to the staff on site • Providing access to existing architectural and planning drawings as required to the staff on site • Providing new planning and architectural drawings as required to the staff on site
