Specifications include, but are not limited to: The scope of work under these contracts shall encompass but are not limited to the entire spectrum of services of MDE-type projects. Firms should demonstrate extensive knowledge and capability of, and experience in, providing the below services. Selected firms will be expected to provide services including but not limited to: • Full-service professional MDE experience in all types of building projects with expertise in Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, Structural and Civil engineering disciples. • Rapid response general MDE engineering services for infrastructure work required by the DAS either under its direction or under the direction of other state agencies. • Maintenance and repair, design, and related services. • Infrastructure work required by the DAS for sites, properties, structures, and/or buildings under its care and control, or as requested for sites, properties, structures, and/or buildings under the care and control of various other state agencies. • Work required for MDE tasks as a prime consultant, as a sub-consultant for other DAS prime consultants, or in direct support of in-house work performed by the DAS Technical Support Services unit and/or DAS Facilities Management. • Reliable and conscientious professional design engineer’s construction administration services during construction. • Specialty and unique MDE expertise that could be considered valuable to the DAS or other state agencies. • Services that require substantial working knowledge of the requirements of all applicable Connecticut State Statutes, the Connecticut Life Safety Code, and the Connecticut Building Code.
