Specifications include, but are not limited to: a. Security Officer Services: One (1) full-time uniformed/armed security officer with body armor to be assigned to 3000 Arctic Blvd. “lobby” to provide security desk type services, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a one-hour lunch break. For this location the security officer will not be required to work on AWWU’s recognized holidays and weekends. Post orders will (to the maximum extent possible) be defined in writing as a part of a “General Order’ to be published by the Contract Administrator and provided to the security contractor after awarding the contract. This Security Officer shall not be available for patrol duties as described in sections I,c,d, and e. b. Security Officer Services shall be also available for after-hour meetings as needed. Security contractor shall be provided 48 hours of notice for these services. Services shall be provided on a cost per hour basis and shall include controlling access to the facilities where the meeting occurs to ensure only those attending the meeting gain access. After meetings the security contractor shall do a lockdown of the facility and, if applicable, arm the security system. c. Security Patrols: shall drive through parking lots and walk through buildings located at 325 and 501 East 94th Ct. four (4) times a night between the hours of 5:30 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., Monday through Friday. The first walk-through shall be done between 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. and shall focus on facility “lock down” as a primary part of normal security routines. The rest of the specified daily patrols shall be conducted on a random schedule, which provides balanced coverage during non-business hours. On weekends and recognized holidays, patrols shall be increased by two (2) between the hours of 8:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m. Security patrol officers are not required to be armed. d. Security Patrols shall conduct an inspection of facilities located at 3000 Arctic Blvd. There shall be two (2) inspections that occur during normal business hours. The first being between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. and the second being between the hours of 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. There shall also be inspections four (4) times a night between the hours of 5:30 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. Monday through Friday. The first after business hours inspection shall be done between 5:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. and shall include a walk-through of the building focused on facility “lock down” as a primary part of the security inspection. The facility lock down shall ensure all exterior doors and windows are locked and shall include arming the building security system. All other specified daily patrols shall include an external inspection of the building and grounds to include checking areas of trees, shrubs, and hedges, and to be conducted on a random schedule that provides balanced coverage during non-business hours. On weekends and recognized holidays, patrols shall be increased by two (2) between the hours of 8:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m. Security patrol officers are not required to be armed. e. Security Patrol service shall include responding to alarm conditions initiated by the building security system at 3000 Arctic Blvd. When notified of an alarm condition the security contractor must respond to the premises as soon as reasonably possibly, inspect the facilities to determine cause of alarm, and if necessary, notify AWWU contact of the situation. Upon exiting the building, the alarm is to be rearmed. If the alarm system is unable to be rearmed, the AWWU contact is to be notified. Security patrol officers are not required to be armed.
